Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HTMLmenu ("we", "us", the website at htmlmenu.com) handles information when you use our free online navigation-menu builder. We have tried to keep this short and honest, because HTMLmenu collects very little.
1. No accounts, no registration, no database
HTMLmenu is a fully client-side tool. You do not create an account, you do not log in, and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details. We do not operate a database, so the menus, settings and code you create are not uploaded to or stored by us.
2. Data stored in your own browser
To make the tool convenient, your current menu design and settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. This information never leaves your browser and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or by using the "Reset" button in the builder.
3. Information processed automatically
Like virtually every website, when you visit HTMLmenu our hosting provider and content-delivery network automatically process basic technical data so the site can be delivered and kept secure. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you request, and the date and time of access. This data is handled by the third parties below and is used for delivering the site, security and aggregate statistics - not to personally identify you.
4. Third-party services we use
- Hosting provider - a third-party web host stores the site's static files and serves them to your browser. Standard server access logs may be generated.
- Cloudflare - we use Cloudflare as a content-delivery network and for security/performance. Cloudflare may process technical request data (such as your IP address) and may set strictly necessary cookies. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics - Google Analytics might be installed on the site to help us understand, in aggregate, how it is used (for example, how many people visit and which features are popular). Where it is enabled, it may set cookies and collect usage and device data. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data. You can opt out site-wide with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Advertising
We do not currently show advertising on HTMLmenu. In the future we may introduce third-party ads. If and when we do, those ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and we will update this policy accordingly before or when ads go live.
6. Cookies
HTMLmenu itself does not set marketing cookies. Cookies that may be present come from the third-party services above (for example, Cloudflare security cookies and Google Analytics cookies). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not stop the builder from working.
7. Your choices
- Clear your browser's local storage / site data to remove saved menu settings.
- Use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or block analytics with your browser or an extension.
- Manage or block cookies in your browser settings.
8. Children's privacy
HTMLmenu is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
9. International visitors
The site is available globally and is served via a content-delivery network, so data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the site you understand that limited technical data may be processed as described above.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
